Western

Founded in 1972 by Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Western Refrigeration Pvt. Ltd. started as a trading company for air-conditioning and refrigeration parts. It entered the manufacturing sector with a cooler plant in Shahpur, Maharashtra in 1997 and expanded to a second plant in Silvassa in 2001. Western became India’s first Visi-cooler manufacturer and is now a leading producer of commercial refrigeration equipment, exporting to 45 countries. In 2014, it opened Southeast Asia’s largest facility in Sanjan, Gujarat. Western has innovated with Carbon Dioxide refrigerants and solar-powered coolers, achieving a 30% CAGR over the last decade, with 35% of sales from exports.
